Congratulations Dave & Lili

A little picture of Jake & Elwood (Mario & Matt) with "Hairy Biker" Dave Myers and his wife Lili at their wedding reception in Barrow in Furness this weekend. He actually said the band made his wedding day which was really lovely of him. We'd like to thank them for inviting us to play for them and thank all the guests for making it one of the most enjoyable shows we're ever done.

Hello 2011 (Merry Xmas & Happy New Year!)

With the big fat quiz of the year on Ch4 tonight it seems appropriate to quickly round up 2010 and look forward to 2011 in relation to to BBB!

2010 saw the first year on the road for the latest version of the theatre show with dates in Bracknell, Solihull, Cromer, Grays, Stevenage, Taunton, Clacton, Gainsborough Andover and a sold out Chelmsford Civic theatre. We also took the band around the country on a huge number of corporate and private shows alongside a couple of Festivals (CamperJam, Weston Park & Mela Night, Maidstone) and dates at our longstanding favourite Itallianissimo, Bibi's in Leeds!

Band wise, due to Matt Evans commitments to Alton Towers, Rob Yeo joined us on a first call basis on Keyboards, with Wayne Lee doing some dates to get him up to speed as first dep. We wish Matt continued success at Towers and hope to do the odd gig with him when we can. Jon Shenoy and Will Smith have cemented their positions as first call horn players, and we now have a superb pool of players to pick from should they be unavailable

On the Elwood front, Chris has continued to struggle with his health this year but has done shows whenever possible, Matt Hewitt has covered some shows when available and Simon Dixon stepped in for a couple of last minute gigs. Special mention to Richard (Ant Blues) Owen who has been a revelation as a truly authentic, harp wielding, Elwood. Given his amount of stage experience he has shone remarkably and his enthusiasm has been infectious for the rest of the band, we look forward to working more with him in the future.

So 2011 brings an increase in VAT and the continuation of the credit crisis as the government tightens it's belt, but....

We have a few theatre dates in the diary including Horsham, Soham & Edmonton in the Spring alongside some private shows and a residency at Butlins resort in Minehead on Thursday nights starting in May so plenty to look forward to, and we are sure that as we all get back to work that many more date will come in we will post them as soon as they are confirmed.

Hope you all have a great 2011
